Harnessed skiers descend the steep trail from the peak of the Aiguille Du Midi to where they can begin their journey to the valley on snow. At 3842m, it is the closest in height you can get to Mont Blanc without hiking as it is accessible by cable car, though only experienced skiers and snowboarders can ride down.
